I wish they would have played One Winged Angel in the middle but there are a lot of great songs they have to choose from and have to share the love across. Maybe throw in some lighting effects, but not required.
This would have been 4 or 5 stars if they had just removed the visuals all together and stuck with the music. Many other scenes were simply repeated multiple times and didn't line up with the depth of the music being played. Another example is showing the Tidus blitzball scene in Zanarkand, which has heavy metal music in the actual game, to the "To Zanarkand" soundtrack really didn't fit the scene whatsoever outside of being in the same city. Showing the Zach scene from crisis core where he saves cloud from soldiers outside of Midgar (specifically vague to prevent spoilers, but you all know this emotional scene) for a Genova song and for the Battle medley really doesn't fit.
For example, there was a specific time in the chocobo medley where it was very obvious a visual was meant to line up with a spike in the music, but it was quite a bit off.Ĭ) many of the cutscenes really didn't fit the idea of the music. This would have been fine, except for the following:Ī) the screen was far up, completely blocking view of the choir unless you were in the front row (partially the theater's fault, not theirs, but still detracted from experience),ī) the scenes shown did not match up well with the music at all. They played scenes from the games their song was from. Successfully brought that nostalgia feeling to any final fantasy fanĬelebrated Final Fantasy for what it is - didn't just play music. Visual for the chocobo medley was humorous It was a true celebration of the franchise.

Were very professional and funny in introduction of songs. Distant worlds sounded great - as should be expected! Below are my pros and cons:
